Dakota Packaging's Quality Programs provide structure to the company's quality objectives and performance, this ensures a sustained emphasis on consistent quality throughout the company. The main tools used are:
Benchmarking
The benchmarks used to evaluate our Quality system are based upon best practice within our industry (PIRA), NSAI and customer requirements. Benchmarking is carried out in full consultation with our customers, to ensure effective monitoring and review of quality levels achieved.
Process Validation Methodology
Printing
- Is validated by using a known controlled printing grid to establish the printing capabilities - Brunner Strips are used on each plate to verify colour and register.
Die Cutting
- Approved keylines are used to validate the system. This allows all dimensions as well as structure to be verified. Testing machines enable crease performance to be measured.
Gluing
- Physical tests on adhesive bonds, make up of cartons and code readings are carried out to validate the process.
